I should have mentioned this in the last post, but it honestly slipped my mind. Way back when I posted the short stories “Alive Day” and “A Little Gossip,” a lot of readers started a search for my novel that included the characters Kelsey Quinn and Sheriff Andrea Tyler. I told them the book was in the pipeline, and would hopefully be along soon. Well, the wait is over!

Kelsey and Andrea are the co-stars in this novel. If you enjoyed those two stories, the news of this novel getting signed is probably just what you’ve been waiting for. <g>

I thought it was only fitting to announce this on 6/06… P.D. Publishing is ready to contract Only Flame and Air, making it my sixth novel with them. It’s the second novel in the Claire Lance series, following Tilting at Windmills (due later this year, check this page often for updates!). The plot is sort of under wraps at the moment (although it will be up on my official P.D. author’s page) since it may spoil some stuff that happens in Tilting. Not much… the series isn’t like “24″ or anything… but for the time being, yeah. Zippity lip. <g>

Your Geonn Cannon bookshelf (and everyone has one of those, right? Built special, with proper lighting and whatnot?) will hopefully look like this by the end of 2010:

On the Air

Gemini

World on Fire

Tilting at Windmills (Claire Lance #1)

The Following Sea

Only Flame and Air (Claire Lance #2)

And with any lucky, there will be two more to add to that list very very soon. Keep your eyes on this blog for updates! Oh, and in case anyone is curious… The Following Sea is only vaguely related to the Claire Lance story. Claire Lance’s novels take place in the Squire’s Isle universe, but Lance does not actually go to the island in either of the two novels listed her. The Following Sea also takes place in that universe, but it’s a standalone. All of the stories on this list are in the same world as Squire’s Isle. Riley Parra is the only character outside that world.

Hope that was clear as mud. <g> Keep your eyes peeled for the new novel!

In anticipation of the next Riley story, “Angels Would Fall,” being posted on June 11, there’s a new “Open and Shut” story available! Right now, it’s only available on the Academy website, but once the Wonderful Webmistress has recovered from her great weekend it’ll be on the Riley page. I told her to take her time because I know how you just need a little while to deflate before you do anything substantial. <g>

But the story IS up at the Academy, so go take a look. It takes place immediately after “Losing My Religion.”
